This hype of Rabbit r1 won’t last long.

We are addicted to the drug of consuming content….

I guess now everyone of you would have heard about this new device showcased in the CES 2024 named Rabbit r1 which is also being dubbed as The ultimate distraction killer and productivity improver. Some websites are also citing this a a 199$ replacement to our smartphones …. And if not yet let me give me a quick 1 min review of it .

The Rabbit R1 is a lot like a phone in terms of its looks, and in some of its features: It is powered by Mediatek 2022 chipset Helio p35 ,it has a 2.88 inch color screen it also has a 360 degree camera and a SIM card slot, and it supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. What’s different, and what makes the Rabbit R1 special, is the interface: instead of a grid of apps, you get an AI assistant that talks to your favorite apps and does everything for you.

For example, you could get the R1 to research a holiday destination and book flights to it, or queue up a playlist of your favorite music, or book you a cab. In theory, you can do almost anything you can already do on your phone, just by asking. That said, there remain a lot of questions over exactly how it works and protects your privacy in the way it describes.

We’ve seen next-gen personal assistants depicted in movies like Her, and the R1 is trying to make that a reality – leveraging the latest AI capabilities to replace the traditional smartphone interface with something a lot more intuitive and slick.

So what this Rabbit R1 is adding on its device is a so called LAM (Large Action Model).Basically Large action model is similar to Large language model but it has better agents.

With the help of large language models you can directly ask your device to do the stuff and you will be free from going through the apps and all. This device can navigate through apps to do the stuff for you like you just have to say I want to eat this this device will automatically navigate trough the app and will get that ordered for you so the real question is….

Will Rabbit r1 actually be effective? Will the hype this device has created will continue?

Lets first come to our smartphone usage pattern ,how much of our smartphone usage goes in booking cabs or ordering food or doing ither utility stuff ,if u observe cafrefully then 90 % of our smartphone usage goes in consuming media and contents ,We are so addicted to the drug of  consuming contents that once the ability of  a user to explore and consume contents is gone  it becomes a pure utility device  and everyone likes these utility devices for few days and we again get back to our content consuming devices.

So if you ask us will its hype continue “We would say no ,it would fade down ,initially it will do good but slowly the demand will vanish and these devices will be left in your cupboards.

But let us see ,how much units wll they be sellng as they have already sold 20,000 lots of devices and have currently stopped taking orders .
