Detroit-based manufacturing marketplace startup Bloom has secured $3.6 million in a seed funding round led by SNAK Venture Partners. The company originally launched in 2023 to manage logistics and supply chains for mobility firms, but it shifted to a pure digital marketplace model following changes in U.S. tariffs and hardware manufacturing demand.
Bloom now connects hardware companies—such as drone-makers and mobility startups—with suppliers using software tools to find parts and manufacturing services. The platform handles quoting, booking, and payments, covering contract manufacturing, assembly, engineering, freight, and warehousing. CEO Justin Kosmides stated that the platform has made over 2,000 matches for more than 140 companies.
Additional participants in the seed round included Flyover Capital, Mana Ventures, Detroit Venture Partners, Invest Detroit Ventures, and the Michigan Outdoor Innovation Fund. According to the company, the platform combines public information with direct data from suppliers to improve its matching accuracy as transaction volume grows.
