NASA Delegation to Highlight Moon and Mars Exploration at International Space Conference in Türkiye

NASA will participate in the 77th International Astronautical Congress in Antalya, Türkiye, from Monday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 9. Organized by the International Astronautical Federation and hosted by the Turkish Space Agency, the event features a NASA delegation led by Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson. The agency will highlight U.S. leadership in human exploration to the Moon and Mars, responsible exploration under the Artemis Accords, science, and the commercial space sector.

The schedule includes plenary sessions, technical discussions, and media engagements. On Monday, Oct. 5, Anderson will join a heads of space agencies session at 3 a.m. EDT, followed by Karen St. Germain speaking on Earth observation cooperation at 9:30 a.m. EDT. Tuesday, Oct. 6, features Jeremy Parsons discussing Artemis II mission results at 4:45 a.m.

EDT. Wednesday, Oct. 7, includes Fathi Karouia on space manufacturing technology at 3:15 a.m. EDT, St. Germain at 4:35 a.m. EDT, and an Artemis Accords news conference with Anderson and Major General Roberto Melgar Sheen at 5 a.m. EDT. Steve Chien speaks on trusted AI on Mars at 8 a.m.

EDT, and Anderson, Lori Glaze, Nicky Fox, and Kelsey Young participate in an Artemis II preliminary lunar science release at 9:35 a.m.
