Boston-based supply chain startup Atomic has secured a $12.5 million Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to over $15 million. The financing was led by Klass Capital and Madrona Venture Group. Founded by former Tesla employees Michael Rossiter, Neal Suidan, and new CTO Jeff Goodrich, Atomic originated from an early system built during the 2018 Model 3 production ramp.
The company uses agentic artificial intelligence to simulate scenarios, determine inventory placement, and autonomously make purchasing decisions for clients such as DoorDash and HelloFresh. According to DVx Ventures founder Jon McNeill, Atomic's annual recurring revenue has quintupled since the beginning of the year. The platform has evolved from providing recommendations to autonomously executing a large majority of purchasing tasks across multiple sites, helping clients reduce waste and spoilage.
Rossiter noted that the general model adapts to various industries, including consumer packaged goods, mobility, and manufacturing. The fresh capital follows the company's transition from pilot trials to large-scale deployments, with leadership focused on compressing onboarding times and enhancing decision speed for enterprise operations.
