Cerebras Systems CEO and co-founder Andrew Feldman will speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, scheduled for October 13-15 at Moscone West in San Francisco, addressing whether artificial intelligence can continue scaling despite growing demands for compute, energy, and infrastructure. Founded in 2015, Cerebras utilizes a wafer-scale computing architecture designed for demanding AI workloads rather than conventional chip designs.
The company raised $5.5 billion in a May IPO, signed a multiyear agreement with OpenAI to deploy 750 megawatts of systems from 2026 through 2028, and introduced its fourth-generation CS-4 infrastructure in August. To support hardware deployment, Cerebras reported more than 600 megawatts of live or contracted data center capacity for delivery by the end of 2027, plans to launch its first European data center capacity this year with an expansion to 200 megawatts there by late 2027, and is increasing its manufacturing capacity tenfold during 2026.
Feldman’s session will explore constraints on AI hardware, infrastructure limitations, and future developments if traditional hardware reaches its boundaries during the three-day event, which is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees and 250 speakers.
