T-Hub, India’s largest innovation hub and business incubator, has recently selected seven startups across various sectors to join their cohort of semiconductor programs. This initiative aims to strengthen India’s position in the semiconductor industry.
All these selected startups will now have access to Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) shuttle services for fast prototyping, which demands low cost and a fast-feedback loop to test the design for verification. Over the next six months, this will accelerate their progress toward achieving their company’s goals.
What is T-Hub?
T-Hub, or Technology Hub, is the largest startup incubator in India and is based out of Hyderabad, India.
T-Hub is renowned for fostering an ecosystem of innovation and creativity. It provides national and international startups access to cutting-edge technology, investors, and mentors. To date, it has helped over 200 startups scale their operations. Their mission is to guide startups through different phases of their growth journey.
T-Hub’s Goal
One of the major visions of this centre is to establish a semiconductor innovation lab. This lab will support R&D for new semiconductor technologies. India’s ambition to become a manufacturing hub for semiconductor-related technologies requires such labs, where collaboration and the creation of advanced technologies can happen efficiently and cost-effectively.
How Will T-Hub Help These Startups?
T-Hub will act as a godfather to these startups, providing them with essential services over the next six months. Here’s how:
- Structured Program: The selected startups will participate in a well-structured program.
- Access to MPW Services: Startups will have access to Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) shuttle services for fast prototyping, enabling cost-effective and rapid feedback loops to test and verify designs.
- Free Prototype Testing: They can use semiconductor foundries and assembly houses to test their prototypes at no cost.
- Collaboration Opportunities: Startups will have opportunities to collaborate with leading semiconductor companies and industry experts.
So far, T-Hub cohorts have achieved significant milestones:
- ₹40.29 crores in grants
- ₹21.48 crores in investments
- Orders worth ₹19.28 crores
