Indian specialty chemical startup Scimplify has raised $25 million in an all-equity strategic round led by Hitachi Ventures. The funding values the Bengaluru-based company at $250 million. New investors Henkel and Teknor Apex joined the round alongside existing backers like Accel India and Omnivore. Founded in 2023, Scimplify uses an artificial intelligence platform named Scinode to develop chemical manufacturing processes and coordinate production.
The startup aims to help manufacturers reduce their reliance on suppliers in China for critical materials used in semiconductors, defense, and energy. Scimplify claims its AI software shortens the timeline from a customer request to final delivery to just two months. Traditional development typically takes up to 18 months.
The platform uses specialized AI agents for research and quality control, while human scientists oversee manufacturing across a network of more than 500 partner facilities. With its new capital, Scimplify plans to invest $7.5 million to expand its manufacturing network into the U.S. and Japan over the next year.
It also allocated $2 million to further develop its Scinode platform.
