Hardware and software startup Natura has introduced a $99 smart ring named Interface, which is designed to let users interact with virtual assistants through voice commands. Founded by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, the company aims to let people complete tasks and capture thoughts without reaching for their smartphones. At launch, the device connects with multiple software assistants and applications, including Meta's Muse, Grokbot, Claude, and ChatGPT.
Beyond software interactions, the hardware doubles as a health tracker that monitors heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages, daily movement, and skin temperature. Responses can be delivered through connected headphones, an iPhone Live Activity, or the NatureOS app. The device offers a battery life ranging from six to twelve days and requires 100 minutes for a full recharge.
The company hopes the ring's continuous accessibility will reduce screen reliance for everyday tasks like reordering household items, managing schedules, or recording meetings. Founder Carlo Edoardo Ferraris stated that the ring is built with components comparable to other major smart rings, though it launches at a lower price to encourage early adoption.
Pre-orders are expected to open next month, with shipping scheduled for December or January.
