Autonomous vehicle company Waymo has expanded its robotaxi service to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Passengers can now book trips to and from designated zones at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

Waymo announced Wednesday that airport pickups and dropoffs will initially be restricted to a small group of riders before opening to the general public. The company launched public rides in a 24-square-mile area of Las Vegas last month.

Las Vegas is the sixth major airport served by Waymo, joining locations in Phoenix, Nashville, San Antonio, San Francisco, and San Jose. The expansion places Waymo alongside competitors like Amazon-owned Zoox, which also operates at the Las Vegas airport.

Competition in the city is expected to grow. State regulators approved permits in August enabling Tesla and Uber to deploy thousands of robotaxis on local streets within the coming year.
