Apple announced a new Apple TV 4K on October 13, pricing the device at $299. The bundle includes an upgraded A19 chip that powers new AI features, three far‑field microphones that let users speak to Siri without a remote or HomePod, and a remote that now has a small speaker to help locate it.
The system also supports a four‑speaker surround‑sound experience when paired with HomePod mini 2 or HomePod 2 speakers. The refreshed device brings the latest Siri AI to the TV, enabling users to ask questions such as “What Apple TV shows won at the Emmy Awards this year?” or “Where was Pluribus filmed?” to search for content or learn more about shows.
Apple says the AI integration will improve personalization and content recommendations, a feature that rivals Google and Amazon have added in recent years. This is Apple’s first major update to the Apple TV 4K line in four years, following a 2024 launch that was delayed because of the AI rollout.
Consumers can pre‑order the new box today, and it will ship on November 13.
The company has not yet outlined a schedule for future hardware revisions.
