WIREUNWIRED BRIEF

Artificial intelligence startup Wabi is shifting from its previous prompt-based app-building tool toward a messaging format called Wabi 2.0. Founder Eugenia Kuyda, who previously established Replika, stated that the updated software functions as a personal agent that performs tasks and generates user interfaces dynamically during interactions. Rather than competing against vibe-coding instruments, the new platform is designed to rival conversational AI agents that integrate productivity tasks into a single interface.

Kuyda noted that consumers prefer a combination of typing, tapping, and scrolling over endless chat histories. As users request assistance, the agent constructs on-demand interfaces for specific threads, such as health tracking or family organization. The new release arrives amid rising demand for AI agents like Meta’s Muse and Instinct, and coincides with developments like OpenAI updating ChatGPT’s plugins for interactive in-chat app experiences.

Currently, Wabi 2.0 is accessible exclusively via invite codes distributed on the social media platform X.
