Moto G73 Android 14 Update is now Live
Motorola has finally released Android 14 update for Moto G73. The size of the update is 1.93 GB and it is the first major update for Moto G73 Users. I personally received the update on April 23rd night and if you have not received the update yet don’t worry you will soon be receiving the update as the update is in roll-out.
The update will take somewhat 15 minutes to install provided that you have stable internet connection, but to my surprise i found that that the new Android 14 update for Moto G73 comes with Feb 2024 Security Patch , while its already end of April 2024 now. I guess Motorola will push latest security patch update in next updates.
I had personally installed the update in midnight only and since then i was looking for newer features that had arrived on Moto G73 with this latest Android 14 Update. So, let us have a look o the new features.
New Features that came with Moto G73 Android 14 update.
First of all let me tell you, don’t expect the latest new Hello UI skin with this Android 14 Update on Moto G73 . Motorola had previously clarified that they are limiting the latest Hello UI for newer Phones only , while older phones will still receive Android 14 Update with MY UX skin Only. So you will not be able to see latest AI features on your Moto G73 even with this Android 14 Update. Before you loose your hope , let us straight jump on to the newer features that have come on with Android 14 update on Moto G73 as it has still received some newer features.
- Newer Camera Icon: Motorola has aligned its new camera icon with one you find on Hello UI , feels good no 😅, but only icon has changed , as far as i was able to check there was o ew features in the camera app.
- Clear ALL Button at the bottom of recent Tab : Being a Motorola user , we all have faced that problem to remove all the open tabs from the recent menu , previously we would had to go at the last of tabs , then press clear All , But now with this new update of Android 14 on Moto G73, Motorola has given the clear all Button just at the bottom of Recent Tab . So no need to go at the last tab to clear all.
- New Notification Style on Lock Screen: With this Android 14 update on Moto G73 , Motorola has pushed yet another feature for users . Now users can customize how their notifications look on lock screen . Motorola has given 3 options to choose from .
1) Bubbles
2)Chip
3)List - Flashlight on Call: This feature is a dedicated feature given by Android 14 on all devices , so it would not be right to tell this as Motorola feature , but yes you all receive this extra feature with Android 14 update on Moto G73.

Conclusion:
Motorola had always been a bad name when it comes to software updates because of its delayed software updates. It is good to see Motorola pushing software updates on time , but one thing that Motorola did not did good was not providing Hello UI update to its older phones. Hope , Motorola reconsiders its decision and pushes Hello UI update atleast to its flagship series.
