Role :Graduate Engineer Trainee(GET)
Generally there are two rounds taken for the recruitment.
1. Online Assessment:-
Syllabus:- Technical, Aptitude, English Comprehension.
Preparation Strategy:– Practice aptitude and english comprehension questions from indiabix website.
If you are preparing for gate then technical section would not be much difficult. Just follow the basics and solve questions from AMCAT for better understanding of which type of questions do come.
2. Technical and HR round:-
For technical part you need to be good at basics of each subject you study during your course work. Don’t get scared that you need to study all the subjects for interview, it is just that during your semesters how attentive you were.
- Prepare for 2-3 subjects thoroughly like machines, power systems or power electronics if you don’t have a project based internship (paid or unpaid)
- Do a project based internship during the summer period.
- Go through the project and subjects mentioned.
Any experience with programming languages like C/C++, SQL, Python will be an added advantage.
Coming to the HR part:-
Know about the company and show your enthusiasm to enter into the company. Prepare some basic hr questions like why do you want to join, strengths and weaknesses, teamwork based questions, why are you not opting for higher studies (particularly if your cg is high).
If offered to ask questions, prepare 1 or 2 questions that will show your willingness and interest towards the organization.
